    > $45 is pricey for the TSO show this year?

Nope, I didn't say that. It's relatively pricey as compared to most
    shows I go to nowadays.

    > Do you even realize how many people are involved with that show that
    > have to get a cut of your ticket money? In addition to the 6 main band
    > members, there are about 8 vocalist and a small local orchestra (12

    > of the Pyro and light show which gets bigger and better every single
    > year. I have no problem paying the price they charge.

Nor do I. It was a bit more than last year's price, but I paid it
knowing that, above all else, I'd get a quality performance from a whole
stageful of professionals -- as you said, it's a huge production, they
hire a local chamber group in every city, etc. It's truly a class
act, solidified by the meet'n'greet afterward.

    > If I do feel the
    > price gets too high, I won't buy a ticket. Its just that simple. These
    > people gotta eat you know :)

Sure. If I were jobless I'd have said "oh, well, wait 'til next
year." But I could afford the tickets, and I paid, almost-happily. :)

    > You could have also bought cheaper seats but you WANTED to spend more
    > on better seats. No one forced you, at least, I don't think they did.

Nope, but we would have preferred better seats. My friend Phil Carter
(who is still on the list, say hi, Phil) would likely have gone, but
despite being on their email list, he didn't get a heads-up on ticket
sales...so we lost a chance to get closer seats at the same price, and
he opted out of this year's show. He's been immortalized from stage as
"that guy who wears the Santa hat who knows EVERY line of
    stage-dialogue." :)

    > Same thing goes for the New DT ticket prices. If you feel its not worth
    > the money or that you can't really afford it, then you just don't go. It
    > is not that big of a deal.

As long as they meet me halfway and book some Southeastern dates.....but
I think finding a decent venue with seats in this town (Atlanta) will be
difficult. They're either union halls, or too pricey, or the tour is
asking too much of a guarantee. (Sidebar: the Tabernacle, otherwise
a great venue for DT, doesn't do seated, reserved shows......EXCEPT for
TSO in the past, and those were awesome shows indeed.)

Hey guys, I thought I'd give everybody a heads-up about this new virus that's going around. It seems to be spreading fairly quickly. It's also known as the W32.Novarg.A@mm

More information can be found here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.novarg.a@mm.html

I believe somebody on the jam might be infected, since at least one of the addresses from which I've received infected e-mails was from a ytsejam.com e-mail address. I realize that the address itself it probably spoofed and obtained from somewhere else in the infected computer's e-mail program, but AFAIK nobody I know knows anybody else w/ a ytsejam.com e-mail address. So I'm thinking it might be someone here. Anybody know of a way to track this stuff?

Anyways, as always, don't open attachments from people you don't, or even from people you do know but aren't expecting to send an attachment.

    -Dan.

I saw the news about this on the druge report last night. I actually had one of these messages in my inbox. (It was caught and cleaned)

I got a mail supposedly from ytsejam-request@torchsong.com, with attachment, and the subject of "sdvomr". I deleted it, cos I figured if the list or skadz had something to say, they could probably think of a better subject :P

Anyway, this is from the header info on the mail, it may help work out if someone on here has the virus..

    Received: from cpe00022ab73221-cm014140007157.cpe.net.cable.rogers.com ([24.156.106.106]) by psmam04.bigpond.com(MAM REL_3_4_2 98/8008401)

Who knows, maybe even the mail headers are faked somehow. Back to regular programming!

TOTALLY AGREED!!!!!!! And as I stated here before, I think Jordan won't last that much as a DT member. Nowadays he has a secondary role in the band, light years far from the one he had on SfaM. And guess what?? I'll miss him much more then I do to Derek or even Kevin.
